July 16, 2020
We, the African American Family Summit Committee, extend our appreciation for your partnership on such an important endeavor. The committee has been working extremely hard to make this event a great success. Due to the recent spike in COVID-19 cases within the state of Florida, we have been advised to consider postponing our face-to-face meeting to a later date. After great consultation and research, we made the executive decision to defer the Summit until November 5-6, 2020.
Be assured our committee, staff, and organizers are pushing forward full steam ahead. All participants have been contacted and remain committed to participate on these new dates. COVID-19 has delayed but not deterred our plans and we are excited to know that moving the dates has given us a more optimistic outcome!
The African American Family Summit will host a live panel discussion on July 31st. The panel will formally announce our face-to-face event, as well as, begin the dialogue for what we believe the Summit will contribute to African American communities and their residents.
As a valuable sponsor, we wanted to keep you posted on the date change. Please keep us in your prayers and thoughts. In times such as these we need each other to make a difference in our world today. We appreciate your continued support. You will be hearing more details as the new date approaches.
